ICNYU Benefit Iftar

for East Africa & Yemen

It’s the first week of the hottest month in America’s busiest city.  That’s stressful enough — and you’re fasting too! Don’t worry, the Islamic Center will help you through it. Join us for a free dinner (iftar) to break your fast and taraweeh prayers (starting right after isha) every day of this blessed month. It doesn’t matter if you’re new to the community or have been here for years. We welcome everyone.  It’s all part of what makes the Islamic Center special, and what will make your time in NYC unforgettable.  This Ramadan come experience what community should feel like.

During Ramadan, our free iftar dinners will travel the globe and include vegetarian options. We will also hold lectures and discussion groups on a variety of topics throughout the month, insha’Allah. Finally, at the end of the month, we will celebrate Eid al-Fitr with prayers and brunch open to the entire community!  These are just some of the numerous services offered here at the Islamic Center at New York University.

ICNYU Fundraising Iftar

Join us for our first Annual ICNYU Fundraising Iftar with award-winning British journalist, Mehdi Hasan! ICNYU has consistently provided space, support, services and programs for years to the NYC community at large. Our operating and programmatic budget comes directly from donations and as our community grows, so do our expenses. In that regard, we have decided to host an annual fundraiser during Ramadan to help meet our budgetary needs. We hope you will break bread with us as we raise money for our next year to come and enjoy our special guest, Mehdi Hassan!
